-----------------

This is part of another more general topic: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic144509.html

Currency code: 3059 • catalonia_principality

Denomination: 7551 • 3059 → 2 Reales (3/20)

Coin with this denomination: N#23955

According with the topic in Spanish https://es.numista.com/forum/topic145005.html the real has this relationship and value:

Relationship: 1 Libra = 10 Reales

Value: 1 Real (1/10)

The denomination has a numeric value of 3/20 and must be 2 * 1/10 = 2/10 = 1/5

Things to do:

  • Modify the numeric value

    7551 • 3059 → 2 Reales (3/20) → 2 Reales (1/5)

  • Add the relationship to beginning of the subdivisions (in English and other languages with their translation filled):

    1 Libra = 1 Pacifico = 20 Sous • 1 Florin = 15 Sous • 1 Sou = 2 Seisenos = 6 Doblers = 6 Ardites = 12 Dineros • 1 Dinero = 2 Mallas = 2 Obols = 2 Senyals = 4 Pugesas • 1 Groat = 18 Dineros • 1 Principado = 24 Sous • 1 Trentin = 33 Groats

    1 Libra = 10 Reales • 1 Libra = 1 Pacifico = 20 Sous • 1 Florin = 15 Sous • 1 Sou = 2 Seisenos = 6 Doblers = 6 Ardites = 12 Dineros • 1 Dinero = 2 Mallas = 2 Obols = 2 Senyals = 4 Pugesas • 1 Groat = 18 Dineros • 1 Principado = 24 Sous • 1 Trentin = 33 Groats

Apart from analyzing what @davidhs  comments, I don't know if this coin should be classified in the Principality of Catalonia (as it is now) or in Spain directly.

The rest of the coins of the pretender Charles III indicate, in the legend or on the shield, that they belong to Aragon, Valencia, Mallorca, Barcelona (Catalonia)... but this specific coin clearly has a coat of arms from Spain and the legend indicates Hispaniarum Rex.

I know that it was issued in the Barcelona Mint (capital of the Austrian section of Spain), but on many websites they classify it as a Spanish currency, what do you think?

Ok. Then this suggestion is on hold, while the coin is moved and we see the correct currency/denomination.

You can select the option “solicitar la creación o la modificación de una autoridad gobernante” on the Spanish side… or are you referring to something else?

I cannot see that option. 10 options in Spanish, 11 options elsewhere.

Right!! 😮

This option is in banknotes but not in coins. I will send a bug report.

Is there anything still needed here?

The coin was moved to Spain and the denomination was removed from Libra (Principality of Catalonia)
