When updating notes to include signatures, I find that sometimes I have the initials memorised better than the surname of the person.
I suggest that we make it so that you can also search by initials when adding signatures to variant lines.
It would also be helpful to display the initials next to the names, perhaps in parenthesis, so that it is easier to distinguish a person’s signatures. As an example, Pyotr Ilyich Sofronov has two different signatures, holding the same position, that are similar in appearance. By showing the initials, PIS¹ and PIS², respectively, it would make it much easier to know which signature is which when updating signatures.
