Hello, I just received a King Carlos one euro coin, i need advice what is the value of this coin? I got this coin from a Finnish grocery store. I hope the King of Spain will help me get food money or even a plane ticket because I have not been to my country even once in 33 years, I miss my family there in Thailand, I am very lonely here in Finland.🙂

For this and your future questions about the value of coins you found on the ground or got as change … like 99.999% of coins you find in circulation: Unless it's in uncirculated condition and not something with a multimillion mintage it is worth more or less face value.

Hello, here in the Nordic countries, most people buy food and other services with a bank card or some phone app. If you think it's super easy by luck to get hold of some of the oldest coins that have been minted for several million, you might want to think again, his isn't 3000 years ago when everyone has to use coins to buy something. I have to go to a small grocery store where many old people buy food, because they the most who use coins to buy services. And I think EU coins are not easy to copy like old time coin printing system, because they still have the coin molds in stock.🙂

The value of the coin is far less then the time you spent taking pictures. Unless something is exceptional just take/post two images.

I am from Brazil, we are even far from any Euro coinage. I can definitely say positively that this coin can be found here in numismatic stores for face value, and even better (or worse), sometimes even with less than its face value.

Numista Rarity Index: 3 means it is the most possible coin ever.

And 32% of the thousand of collectors that have this coins have the year 1999.

I would keep as a lucky charm.

Good morning

It is worth one euro and nothing more.

As for value, its actually has the buying power of €1, but, if you take inflation into account, an item that cost €1, when this coin was minted, is now costing €1.30.

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
