Royal Mint poor quality control on annual sets [solved]

2 posts • viewed 79 times

After swearing off of Royal Mint products for some time I caved and purchased their 2024 annual proof set. The definitive set is fine. The special token however, has a nasty flaw on it. Very poor quality control yet again. I decided not to return the product based on past experiences of returning things (not good!).

By the way, they even skimped on the containing box - no plastic bag, and there's now no lettering on the spine as there used to be, so when you have these on a shelf you can't  readily identify the year. Not so bad for me because I only have 2022 and 2024, but still.

I seem to only come on here to winge about the RM - sorry about that, but I feel this falls well short when you are supposed to be purchasing a premium product, and want to let others know of my experience.

p.s. I have given RM endless feedback on this and it's all fallen on deaf ears. I've had bad experiences of the Myths and Legends series, Tudor Beasts, the King Charles bullion coins, and now the annual sets. I give up! :(
