A question here - is the numbering continuing from one catalogue to another?

Yes, consistent system used for whole of New Zealand numbering. Earlier catalogue numbers are cross referenced especially Kidd, and the  Precision Engineering Company Token Book issued in 2009 which will be re-released in a couple of years time.
