Another request for Indian coin identification

7 posts • viewed 81 times

I do have one other old Indian coin that I cannot identify so if anyone can give me a lead that would be great / weight ~7g; diameter ~22mm. Apologies again that I cannot read any words on the coin and I don't know if it's the right way up. Thankyou.

Numista gets a “search by image” that gives you (sometimes) the result (immediatly in this case)

It's a coin of Kutch, Bharmalji II  AE Dokdo

Frenchlover ….. many thanks for letting me know about “search by image”, I wasn't aware of that so I'll look into it & try not to worry you good helpful people in future. All the best to you & others who've commented.

The search by image leads to a very similar coin of the Princely state of Junagadh

But It might be wrong

You're welcome 😀

It's stimulating to look by ourself  before submiting a coin for identification:

- Numista “search by image” with other criteria (band of weight and size, composition “precious” if billon or silver, country “india”, etc…)

- a “right clic” of your image then “search image by google”

- Zeno for such coins

and so many other websites …

Thanks again. I tried that search function on a couple of other coins & it worked beautifully.
