Hello

Numista shows that the 2001 series where demonetized this year

But I couldn't find any proof for it anywhere

Any insights will be greatly appreciated

If you mean series 2002 as the BEAC calls them, no, these banknotes have not been demonetised.  In fact, banknotes of this series were put into circulation in 2023 while the new series, called series 2020 is also being issued. Clearly, numista is wrong.

Demonetized are the banknotes from series 1972, 1982 and 1992.

Any insights @Oklahoman @ngdawa ?

Correct. The 2002 series is not demonetised, but is in the progress of being withdraw from circulation.
