I was looking at some Guatamalan banknotes. I stumpled upon this 100 Quetzales, which feature Mayan glyphs on the reverse. Could we add Mayan?

The note I stumpled upon:

N#252293

The script:

I cant imagine adding hieroglyphs of any group to the pages…but I am glad you noticed the Guatemalan notes.  I did a video on my youtube channel on the Mayan base 20 numerals that appear on Guatemalan banknotes.  I would think it would be easy to put the Mayan numerals on Numista somehow…

You can see that video @numismaticnoteswithbenjamin.

Wait! You're Benjamin?! 😮 I found your channel a couple of month's or so ago. It's because of you and your videos I made a little inforgraphic to the latest Barbadian banknotes:

https://en.numista.com/forum/topic134104.html#p1078717

And got into making inforgraphics more generally.

But I did suggest having numbers, like we have script options on the item pages:

https://en.numista.com/forum/topic113219.html#p929957

Also in part because of your video about the Mayan number system 😁

But back to my topic here: I was just thinking of adding the script to the script option, not as a script to be written on the pages, since it doesn't have a Unicode for computing.

Your info graphics are great!  I am glad you enjoyed my videos…at least the Mayan one.  I enjoyed that video and the time I spent researching it.

Please make it a suggestion to improve otherwise  it may be unnoticed by the admin.

Excellent suggestion.

Always look on the bright side of life!

I can't move it, so I think I will just tag a forum administrator who can 😁 So I don't have to make a new post about it 😅

Can you please move it, @ZacUK ? 😊

Will first have to move it to

  • Numista website

as on the section

  •  Numista banknote catalog

there is no improve option.
