Ever have one of those moments?

I have a tub I throw all the multiples in - keeping low numbers of others just because I liked them. I know I should thin those out as well will get around to that eventually.

Got an offer to swap them all out (entire bucket) - thought ooo that's a good idea as had been wondering what to do with them.

Got rid of 244 coins surplus to requirements.

But forgot to write down or update what I listed on here that was “leaving the building” so now have to go through all the coins again to update my list for this site.

Head Bang Wall moment! 😒

Talk about making hard work for myself but on the upside its only the UK coins. PHEW!

Yes before I rid my duplicates I check the database to be very sure the condition of my keeper is better, and no varieties were missed. Then it goes in a bag and off to make other collectors happy :)

I'm still learning…. the hard way!  🤣

Oh yes, I've that waay too often!

As I am downsizing my collection, I am often adding a few extras when I'm swapping. There was a time last year I had quite a few swaps in a shirt while, so I probably gave away like 30 extra coins. A few weeks later, I got a swap request and I just couldn't find two of the coins requested. I looked everywhere. For days. It then hit me: “I have probably given it away.” (I also had done a few sakes, so it could've beeb sold as well.) 😱

And I then realised I hadn't logged the coins I've given away, for at least the last six months. Yeah … I had quite a huge job ahead of me, since they were all just random coins from random countries, so I had to recount my enture collection. Now I have made a routine to remove the coins from the swap list when I am packing the coins. 👍
