Born Palmyra, Pennsylvania, 10 December 1917.
Began carving age 8 or 9; asst commercial artist 1925.
Won Proctor & Gamble soap carving contest in 1929.
Freelance 1945; employed Commercial Art Service 1958-65.
Employed at Franklin Mint as Medallic sculptor, March
1969, until he retired, October 1978.
Signed models EL in caps.
