From https://www.galata.co.uk/the-pobjoy-encyclopaedia-of-isle-of-man-coins-and-tokens-1

There is some mystery about the dating of this book. The front cover says 1979, the title page says 'second edition' 1978, and the next page says 'copyright 1976'. It is also billed on the front cover as 'Millennium Year', which I take to be 2000.

I didn't find 3rd edition, 1rst edition is

For the second see cover in original post, but no info about 3rd edition.

@MMowiec FYI that this book is added.

No, Millenium refers to the Millenium of Tynwald (= Manx parlament) which was created in 979 according the legends (no proof for this date) - for more see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tynwald

These books were issued in 1977-1979 so only a little part of Manx coinage can be included in these catalogues. This was Pobjoy Mint issue but I don't know that they reissued it later (they did the nice Encyklopedia of Gibraltar Coins 1988-1999).

For IOM coinage, I guess (I hope, just ordered it) better catalogue will be this one: https://www.lilypublications.co.uk/product/coins-of-the-isle-of-man-third-edition/

But sure, it's good to have also the one from '70, especially for Exonumia references as in the first post.

@ArsenEverlas could you please add also the second one catalogue that I mentioned in this topic? Few days ago, I received my copy and this is really nice book. For the old coins (up to 1864), they are all listed with their own number (105 coins + 28 patterns). For decimal coins, this is listed without catalogue references numbers but we have anyway catalogues where we use page numbers. And it's good to have this reference catalogue at least for the pre-decimal coins.
