Miraculous Mary / Medal of our Lady of Graces with PF initials?

5 posts • viewed 275 times

Going through some old religious coins, medals, pendants etc. We found this Lady of Grace, with the initials P and F. It's quite old, doesn't seem to machine press or modern junk. The date is 1830, barely visible, I believe the majority have this date. English text has thrown me a little. We ran Google lense and numerous searches and we can't find anything matching.

Between SIN US, you can see PF. Adrien-Jean-Maximilien Vachette was the designer. Pierre-François Drais - who he was under the apprentice of. Initials PF? Coincidence.

The history on these is awesome. I'd like to know thoughts on this piece. I can upload more pics if needed or anyone is interested.

P F is abbreviation for Pray For.

Oh, makes sense. Now there's not much else to go by. Hard trying to identify individual pieces.

Have a nice day colleagues.

Yes, there are really many variants - a large number. The first one left the same year that the "Pope" miracle happened, and the year of the miracle is 1830 for all of them.

It happened in Paris on July 18.    - so in a few days there will be celebrations and commemorations of this event again, the apparition of the Virgin Mary.

There are options on our website, so try searching for one that resembles your locket.

I got mine this spring during my stay in Prague.  I was very happy. I have to adjust it and I will carry it with me.

The whole story is on Google, so I won't translate - I received this written proof of origin for it.
