Following on from this discussion about the Ethiopian 1/32 birr coins, can I suggest we also look at the silver coins from the same period? The following pieces have marks for the Paris mint and seem well described to me, 1 Ghersh, ⅛ Birr, ¼ Birr, ½ Birr, 1 Birr and 1 Birr. However, the following pieces are not marked for the Paris mint, suggesting that they were struck in Addis Ababa in 1903 or later, 1 Ghersh, ¼ Birr and ½ Birr. Does anyone have any information to contradict this?

Former Numista referee for banknotes from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Saint Helena.

At least the pattern of the ½ birr is indicated as from Addis here: https://ngsa.bidinside.com/en/cat/420/0/ethiopia/1/

It is now set to Paris (I found it like that). Given that this thread got no traction, I would advise using coin information forum, if anyone has more info. I have no base to change the mint now really.
