A second try, a few years later: small copper piece, castle and heart symbolism!

Hello all,

Thought I'd give it a second try after a few years on this completely unidentifiable little copper klippé of sorts.

About 1 gram, and definitely copper, and very much unidentifiable. You'd think the heart would give good directions, but I can't quite narrow it down enough for an ID!

Thanks!

I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!

I want to say it would possible be a seige coin of some sort, only as alot of these shapes were. In the “heart” are the initials “I I B” or “1 1 B”?

I cant make out what is in the first picture.

Or … sometimes coins with a heart motif were cut down to isolate the heart, possibly as a love token?

I've seen examples of the Naples tari with the heart shaped shield treated this way. N#52253

In this case, we would be looking for a larger copper coin.

Any possibility it is a large H and not a castle (French type of an Henri?)

In hand, it seems the lettering in the heart from left to right, up-down  is “I P B”

With regards to possibly being an “H” - it isn't impossible, but the design seems less like a letter and more like, well, a castle…

Though at this point even the most unlikely path is welcome, because I ain't got a clue!

Maybe I I  for 2 pfennig (with a dot between or some corrosion?)

If we cut down this coin, we could get the I I on one side with a flower above, and part of a coat of arms with tiny hearts …

I know this is not the answer, but maybe just a thread to follow that it could be I - I ?

I wish I could tell what the design above the I-I is…

A bird? If so, what sort of bird?

This thing is driving me a bit nuts hahahah!

There is of course, if we are talking I I H, the it can be rotated through 180degs, then we are looking at a spade shape?

Also in the first picture.. is that a large H as well?

Is that a flower out of the top of the large H/Castle?

I also thought it might have been a downward pointing bird.  If it were a dove, it could mean a religious token, which could make it harder to find.

I searched a bit through 2 pfennig pieces with Roman numeral II, and could find lots of other interesting designs in the center of the reverse, but not the heart with 3 sections.

Flower:  N#139802

Steer's head:  N#240575

Arms (shield):  N#139802

This one also made me think of your piece because of the digits in the II being a bit uneven:  N#169338

Still a mystery for now.

Let's try and make this easier, here, measured precisely the weight is 1.27 grams, and here are an extra two photos:

Definitely looks like a castle, and the lettering is “IPB”  could the bird be a stork? a Heron?

Yes, castle (I guess my eyes were not working properly before 😖).

Plenty of stork's nests in Castile & Leon, Spain …

Or, those are chimneys?

If it's Spanish, could the top two initials be I and F for Isabella and Ferdinand?  The bottom could be H for Henry IV, Isabella's successor as King of Castile and Leon.  Or perhaps it's an M for Maria (of Aragon) [daughter of Isabella and Ferdinand].  Could this be some sort of token celebrating her birth?

Hello

My first thought was a coin from the VOC

I saw a towered bridge…   I even looked over all teh HRE states and the only similar thing was Hamburg, but they has a 3 tower symbol, not 2. Plus I see IPR now lol.
