Hello,

I would like to know what the grade and approx. value of this 1816 6 Pence coin would be. Thanks in advance. I have included the Numista link to help.

Nice coin, it will do well in MPCC II.

I would say VF ($15).
I'm no expert on grading British coins, but I'd have to say F.

 and a website like NGC probably has the values.

As a youngster, I like to find NZ pre-decimal and foreign coins that had made It's way into circulated coinage.

The thought of holding a object of the past with it's hidden history really intrigued me as a youngster...and still does.

It's a shame its not from before the
1800's as his earlier silver still fashions himself king of France too..
My old Spink catalogue (2009) says F= 6, VF = 12 GBP, the latest edition might have slightly higher estimates.
It sometimes helps to determine the approximate value by checking the current auction prices for a coin in similar condition, eBay to start with

I collect coins and tokens which circulated in Africa from 18th century to 2000. I sell about 7000 illustrated world coins from http://www.avscoins.com.

F=£10          VF=£18
