My son-in-law bought a book in a charity shop, which has all of the text in German.

Included within the book was this receipt, which has nothing to do with the actual book.

Any help in what it was actually issued for would be most welcome.

I like it due to the fact that it is a receipt for 1 Guinea (£1 1s 0d)

Thanks in advance

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

Pay a Guinea and don't be a serf I guess.

That is very interesting. Nice find.

I have heard that The City has its own rule within the UK - this is another unique aspect of that. 🧐
