How to draw coins

Hello experts!

I often see some drawings of coins that help identification and it looks nice. I would like to do that, tried photoshop with layers but I guess need some level of knowledge that I do not have.

Anyone have any tips if there is an easy way to at least do something simmilar?

something doable for mere mortals?

I think you should just try it and gradually it will become better, but it is indeed very difficult imo.

The first is either done completely by hand, tracing the image or some edge finding is involved as a guide but you would still need to clean up quite a lot. Not that hard just tedious.

The second one is either someone's drawing that's loosely based on the coin or from a completely different source with a legend added. Depending on if you have to draw the bust yourself, this is quite easy to do.

But I would advise against doing it with just a mouse, a drawing tablet and a stylus would make thing quite a bit easier.
