Xavier
- The link was originally below the examples (as still visible for mints, printers and issuing entities)
Xavier
I suggest we align all pages on the way it is done for catalogues: a link “See XX xxx from this xxx” as a bold link below the description for all types of pages (mints, printers, issuing entities and rulers). And we keep the links per issuers for rulers in addition.
+1
The examples bellow the link is better: the link is more visible, and the examples are visible in any case.

- A change was needed for catalogues, because the page may list multiple volumes with different catalogue codes and it's not possible to search for multiple catalogue codes at once. Therefore the link is shown below each volume (see example) and, in an attempt of consistency, we do something similar if there is only one catalogue code (see example 1 and example 2).
- For rulers, we believe it makes sense to split the items per issuer, so we also have different links per issuer, in addition to the global links below the description.
I did not pay attention to this! Yes, it is necessary.
I also suggest moving the information of the subject to the top of the pages and the links to Numista and examples to the bottom (on some pages it is now mixed up).
To see it better, I will put what is show now. I saw the position of the information, depending on type of page (I saw example pages, maybe other pages have more information).
I mark the types of information:
Information of the subject:
1️⃣ main information
2️⃣ WIkipedia link
3️⃣ Wikidata link
4️⃣ description and other information
Links to Numista and examples:
🅰️ links “See … coins/banknotes/exonumia”
🅱️ text “Production of this…” / “Some items referenced…”
✴️ examples
Types of pages are now:
- Mint (see example):
1️⃣ information about the mint (names, place, date of operation…),
3️⃣ see also (Wikidata link),
4️⃣ description, mintmarks,
🅱️✴️ text “Production of this mint” and examples
🅰️ links “See the xxx coins/banknotes/medals and tokens”. - Ruler (see example):
1️⃣ information about the ruler (name, image, born/died date…);
🅰️ links “See the xxx coins/banknotes/medals and tokens”;
2️⃣ link “See on Wikipedia”;
4️⃣ coat of arms;
for each issuer:
- 1️⃣ name and dates,
- 🅰️✴️ links “See the xxx coins/banknotes/medals and tokens” and examples;
3️⃣ using data from Wikidata (and link). - Catalog (see example):
for each volume:
- 1️⃣ information about the volume (image, code, authors, title…),
- 🅰️ links “See xxx coins/banknotes/items from this catalog”;
🅱️✴️ text “Some items referenced in this catalog” and examples. - Printer (see example):
1️⃣ information about the printer (names, place, dates of operation…),
3️⃣ see also (Wikidata link),
🅱️✴️ text “Production of this printer” and examples,
🅰️ links “See the xxx coins/banknotes/medals and tokens”. - Issuing entity (see example):
1️⃣ information about the issuing entity (names, country),
3️⃣ see also (Wikidata link),
4️⃣ description,
🅱️✴️ text “Production of this issuing entity” and examples,
🅰️ links “See the xxx coins/banknotes/medals and tokens”.
Combining the Xavier suggestions and mine, the order is (I only put the mark of each information, not the entire text again):
- Mint: move the examples (🅱️✴️) to the bottom
1️⃣3️⃣4️⃣🅱️✴️🅰️ - now
1️⃣3️⃣4️⃣🅰️🅱️✴️ - suggestion - Ruler: move the Wikidata link (3️⃣) to the global information, and the global link (🅰️) bellow the global information
1️⃣🅰️2️⃣4️⃣ for each issuer (1️⃣🅰️✴️) 3️⃣ - now
1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣4️⃣🅰️ for each issuer (1️⃣🅰️✴️) - suggestion - Catalog: no change
for each volume (1️⃣🅰️) 🅱️✴️ - Printer: move the examples (🅱️✴️) to the bottom
1️⃣3️⃣🅱️✴️🅰️ - now
1️⃣3️⃣🅰️🅱️✴️ - suggestion - Issuing entity: move the examples (🅱️✴️) to the bottom
1️⃣3️⃣4️⃣🅱️✴️🅰️ - now
1️⃣3️⃣4️⃣🅰️🅱️✴️ - suggestion
