I seem to have some commemorative issued items inherited from my grandmother in Germany that I would like to add to my list of exonumia on this site but don't seem to be or I am unable to find them in the online catalogue. Would somebody please be so kind as to double check they are not already on your site. If they are not already here happy to supply information on them. If they there then thank you for pointing me in the correct direction and taking the time to help - am a typical newbie trying to learn the ropes!

Will just keep adding to this thread any of my others I can't find so there aren't multiple posts by myself

First one I can't find is this one

“Welcome To Germany 1965”

Towns listed on the reverse with their city shields are Koblenz, Wiesbaden, Munchen, Stuttgart, Koln, Dusseldorf, Duisburg, Berlin, Hannover, Hamburg, Bonn,

Souvenir commemorating the 1965 visit to Germany of Queen Elizabeth II

Weight is 91.92g Diameter 66mm Certificated as 999.9 fine silver.

Rim is smooth and does have a mint mark stating the purity and the silver maker - I can see a half crescent moon the number 1000 and a butterfly

Uncirculated had to be purchased direct from the company issuing. Came boxed with certificate.

This has been sealed in a box since date of purchase and until today with gloves not been handled so immaculate condition not so much as a fingerprint - weird tints are just my rubbish photographs 🤪

Hello and welcome to Numista!

Feel free to post any one you can't find.  Probably best to use a separate post rather than adding to this one though.

This medal is not yet in Numista.  You can and should enter it yourself.  Here's a good place to start:  https://en.numista.com/help/a-coin-a-banknote-or-a-piece-of-exonumia-is-missing-in-the-numista-catalogue-what-can-i-do-8.html

Feel free to ask any questions if you need help.

Next one I can't find is this one also can find the text for an umloaut ie the double dots over a letter.

Title is “Der Wolf Und Die Sieben Geisslein” which translates to the wolf and the 7 kid goats.

Reverse states “ nach Bruder Grimm” “Marchen Der Wolf und die sieben Geisslein” which translates “after Brothers Grimm” “Fairytale The wolf and the 7 goat kids”

Issued by Europaische Munzen und Medaillen GmbH to raise funds for Deutschen Krebshilfe (German Cancer Help) cost was 20dm each there were 4 in the series. The series was named Deutschen Merchen (German Fairy Tales) - I only own one of the four. Came boxed and certificated with the full fairy tale enclosed.

Issued in the 1970's sorry no exact year. Hasn't been handled or out of its box since purchase direct from manufacturer so its in perfect condition photo marks are my bad photography skills!

Metal is fine silver 999

Width 40mm

Weight 26g

Hand engraved enhancement (hand patterned).

Smooth rim edge

Initialled below the tree stump to the bottom left of the elf like creatures foot with EM 999

Thank you for your reply and time its appreciated

I wanted to make double sure I hadn't missed a place it could be listed and was being basically “blind as a bat” not finding it 😊

Blimey just tried to enter information for the first one and … need sit and think this through work out which is goes where information wise on this coin.

Don't want to be adding stuff wrong that's never going to help anybody

Just noticed other letters hiding under the Queens neck of HOLL am not sure if its the engravers letters or the manufacturers letters plus having the side stamp on the rim edge perhaps I need to go look up silversmiths markings and try working out which means what?

My ounce to gram conversion by the way was obviously done in a moment of madness as it's incorrect for this first item. DUH!

It's 26.01g

Give me strength!! Would have made my fortune and retired with the other weight!

Don't worry about getting everything perfect.  A referee will review before it is approved and published.  Fill in what you can. You can always come back later and revise it.

Edit: 21g seems way too little for a 66m diameter pure silver medal.  You sure?

I give up for today …… lost the plot entirely

Wrote it all down on a scrap of paper and then went off did something else came back then added measurements for wrong coin to wrong photos …..

Likely makes more sense in saying I have 7 that don't appear on here.

Tomorrow sit down somewhere quiet measure weigh photograph stick relevant information under each item double check each set of information rename the pictures to run alongside the information add their certificates do it that way…

Oh and drink bucket loads of coffee as I do it!

Try to do it as best as you can and I will help correct anything that needs too.

im the one of the referees and also do not know this mintmarks on the first medal. Some information can be added at a later stage, so a pocture of the edge will be perfectly fine at first.

we all get better here over time and it also gets a bit easier.

I was able to locate the following from NGC

E Musheyev may be Eduard Musheyev found him noted on Vendome Auction as their coin expert. Maybe reaching out to them may help identify the markings.

Referee for Exonumia from United States

Thank you both for the replies and information.

Had a look at the link wow theirs is a bit errrr was going to say tatty the one I have likely in such good condition as hasn't been handled and been sealed up since purchase - my grandmother obviously knew what she was doing.
