Hi again,
This time it's not about splitting up a coin type, but that Chile's only ruling authority is as a republic. This of course means that Numista is missing the Spanish monarchs who ruled Chile before its independence.
The kings that issued coins are:
- Ferdinand (Fernando) VI (1749-1759)
- Charles (Carlos) III (1759-1788)
- Charles (Carlos) IV (1788-1808)
- Ferdinand (Fernando) VII (1808-1817)
Also, shouldn't the start date of the republic ruling authority be 1817? That's when they started issuing coins, even though Chilean independence wasn't declared until the next year. Thanks.
