Some help with an Ottoman coin

Hi guys! Hope you're having a great day/evening

I have this Ottoman coin and I'm pretty sure it's N# 48937 but I see that there's a lot of entries for the page (for example ح, د and so on) are they mints? I have no idea and can't figure out which one my coin is. Help is appreciated!

This is the coin:

Diameter is about 36 mm

Very interesting. I am looking in to it.

OK, it's complicated.

First of all, it's not a mint mark, all of these are from the Constantine mint.

Krause tells us, these marks appear on the coins, but not what they mean, or exactly where.

They do not say that the marks correspond exactly to a regnal year of issue, which would have been my guess.

Here are my cheat sheets from the Krause catalog - you now know as much as I do.

To add another complication, the list in Krause for this coin seems different than the list in the Numista catalog page.

I have looked at your coin, the coin in the Numista catalog, and seven others that appear in recent Katz auctions, but I can't make out where the marks are. Have at it!

This is just the kind of thing that keeps numismatics interesting!

Extremely interesting! Maybe there's someone that knows more

For this coin, one of the signs (and only sign on this coin) might be this one (circled in blue):

Edit: I'll post another photo of that side later if it's needed, so that letter could be seen more clearly

It looks complex cause the SCWC doesn't match the Numista file.

Most of auctions looks year XVIII which is not in the Numista file.

A closer look at the letter

The same on Numiscorner

Oh! Thank you!

Do you have any idea which one of entries from this page that is?

N#48937

I can't seem to figure it out (if it even is among those options haha)

Oh yeah, no, it isnt any of the ones on the Numista page.

Sorry, I forgot all about this, I was supposed to find out about the catalog conflict.

I wrote a sticky note.
