The US has some odd ones, filled, double stamped, and what. Here is one of my favorite one. A 1978 D one cent. With the D about 30 degrees off.

Show me yours. it is even filled.  yours daryl

It is, what it is, or is it.

I don't really collect this kind of stuff, but here is something that I've come across while coin roll hunting: 1959 D - that D seems a bit higher than normal

HoH

Yes Houseofham the mint marks are every were. I just like looking for something different. I found a 44 D 1 cent with about the same angle.

i like to find one almost sideways.

It is, what it is, or is it.

this one almost touched the date

I had a 1944 d wheat with mint mark both above and below the date just sent it to grading hoping it will come back as grade 45 mint error

Two mint marks?

Yep

i would think if that happened on a 1944 cent coin it would be a famous error. Picture?

It came back it was someone else added the d above the date its a fake mint mark the mint mark below date was real

Thanks for the update. I'm not surprised. Still like to see a picture.

I just put it in my fake coin safe so it will not get out to the market again I buy it 3 years from a pawn shop for $150 not buying from that shop again

Here is my double mint mark. Or stamped two times. One going to the right and one going to the left.

took me some time to find. what do you think.

It is, what it is, or is it.

Could this be a missed placed D

Up by the bottom of the 9. Iam 50 / 50 on this one

the line is above the field.

It is, what it is, or is it.

Here is a 1953 D . The D almost touching the 5.

Here is a 1957 D. The D under the third digit of the date.  The top of five is filled.

It is, what it is, or is it.

Here is a 1956 D. With the D touching the 9.

sorry this my odd mind at work

Looks like PMD to me, not a RPM.

Thank you rsirian1 for your thoughts. This is why i posted them to get everyone thoughts before i put up. You could be right. but iam still leaning towards repunched.

Here is another image of the   1954 D repunched mint mark. In question,

It is, what it is, or is it.

Same damage to the rim and looks like it went through the 9 also.

I did not see that.  Now iam leaning to PMD. Maybe.

Here is the mint mark style used for 1954 pennies:

The bottom serif on the “RPM” is missing.

You are making think you are right. Now iam thinking PMD.
