Odd pocket finds from change and rolls

Just going throught my change from this week, and found 2 2009 D US nickels.

 Just odd to find two of them in one week

Maybe this month i will have to put up for free. May make a few coins . Will see

Well went to bank and gas station. At the bank got a box of nickels. Found this.

And a 1940,1947 S,1952, 1956 D,and a 1959 D. And only open 6 rolls.

What is odd about a 2009 P nickel?

very low mintage 2009 p onyl had mintage of 39,840,000. Were 2010 p had a mintage of 260,640,000.

Oh.  Never heard 40 million described as low mintage but relative 260 million it makes sense.

yes it is not a really low mintage, but for US nickels it is.

 I got this 1 cent coin this month.  It made stop and think have blessed i am. The last two years have been hard health and mentally. We are all very blessed we are able to coin collect.  Or be able to do what we like.  Not every one is able to do what they love. A lonely 1 cent coin 100 years old. I got in change. Made me stop and smell the roses. I have all ways been very lucky in finding odd stuff. So to everyone stop step back and enjoy the holidays and friends and family.

 Well got three more Native American dollars.  Jim Thorpe 2018 D. And two Elizabeth Peratrovich 2020 D and P.

Odd i got both D and P on the Elizabeth ones. Thinking may be someone's collection.

 Went and got an apple juice Put a 10 in and they came out. So put another 10 and canceled the sell to get 10 more dollar. Nothing good.   

My wife and I are on vacation and she was about to pay with this til I stopped her 😉

i found a condom in a coin roll I don’t know how in the world it pass in to a half dollar bank coin roll 

That half dollar coin roll had 18 half dollars in it.

Hello, I found this coin in a pile at a flea market.

A couple weeks ago, I asked a friend who had recently come back from Poland to bring some Polish coins for me. In the pile of coins he gave me there was a coin which he thought was just a 1 groszy coin… except it was .9999 Gold 1986 5 Dollar Canadian coin. Of course, I recognized it immediately and gave it back to him and he ended up selling it for around $400. I have no idea how something like that ends up in someone's pocket but it was pretty interesting to see.

I keep all of those that I find! I have loved that design of the Canada penny ever since elementary school. 
 

also I agree Amraam Amjad, I’d keep it myself. If a frind gave me coins because he knows I like coins then I’ll take the gift. If there was something valuable I’d give some cash, but a gold Canada coin with a story like that would be a star in my collection!  I wouldn’t necessarily just give it back. 

Yes David i love the Canadian 1 cent coin design. I also like there 5 cents coins.

One lone 2022 Memorial 50p in an unsealed bag of uncirculated 2019s and 2020s.

Just this week I’ve gotten 4 wheatbacks in change. Two from one transaction and 2 between 2 other transactions

What is with these bank rolls 

That bank is falling down.
