Hello collectors,

I’m trying to get all the different months from this coin. I have received one of 8 october 2003. But in the middle ring is not only the year, but also tex: ’150 sebat l 5. yil’ are there more coins known of these with text in the middle ring? And what is the occasion for this text? I’m interested!

greetings,

Peter

I know you are not a fan of these coins. But the issue is that this is another version of this coin because there is text in the middle ring and not only the year as in the common coins. My question is: are there more versions with text? I have 26 of these coins, but only one of these coins has text in the middle ring. And why does this one have text.

I assume you can see the difference between my picture and the link you sent.

I never got any of those, since they were not circulating, but I found this on UCoin

which is not as your coin. You have to find somebody, who can can translate the text, which you have more than the “normal” coins. Take the coin out of the capsule and then make a hi-res image and put the text into Google translate!

150. SEBAT “three points in pyramid” 5. YIL “something smeared”

150. RESISTENCE “three points in pyramid” 5. YEAR “something smeared”. Modern Turekey was founded in 1923, so the 150 doesn't make a lot of sense?

We need the “smeared” word! Please make a sharper image?

The last word is ’anisi’.

so it will be ‘5th anniversary memory.’

And after sebat is an ‘L’.

Try to make a better picture tomorrow.

I found this:

so it's a real official mintage, but more of a tourist gag!

Edit: Your mint came out of machine the 8th of October 2003, maybe the 150th coin of the day from that machine?
