What is this?!

This has Gibraltar on it.

Issuing Authority is Gibraltar, as indicated on the illustrated certificate.

This should not be under Ireland and should be moved to Gibraltar.

It has a link to ‘Irish Mint’, implying that the Central Bank of Ireland produced it – I doubt this.

I agree it should go to Gibraltar as it is legal tender there. Should not be exonumia

But Irish mint seems to be correct https://www.dublinmintoffice.ie/michaelcollins

Well the entry has also wrong lettering and notice as edge picture

Should be ɓetter now! I close, let me know if anything else is needed :-)

This is not correct.

Dublin mint office is not the Irish mint – It is a private company based in the UK (calls itself London mint office there) which produces collectibles, generally overpriced.

You might like to check the legal tender status of this item with the Gibraltar referee, I have my doubts that a private company would be producing items which have legal tender status anywhere.

Oh indeed, I'll add this new mint thanks.

As for the legality, do you think they counterfeited the coin described in this doc?

In fact its not a mint, just a distributor apparently

I asked the referree who added the mint on the entry to come here and help us :-)

Not counterfeited at all.

In Ireland they just produce collectibles. ECB produces all legal tender.

I have no idea about Gibraltar, I don’t know anything about Gibraltar coins or what arrangements they have for production.

Ok thanks, I wrote to them in between
