Dear collector from distant countries,
I am Jeff, I am a collector living in the North of Paris. I collect coins by type and when possible by year - mainly usual ones. I am not in gold or very valuable silver coins, and not so much into commemorative. My collection is 95% composed of coins that used to be in wallets or pockets of « normal » people…. Like me :-)
For these « usual » coins, shipping costs across the world are mostly too expensive vs the value of the coins itself. Therefore I hereby offer you to swap taking the opportunity to meet - or at least to have somebody visiting Paris who could be the messenger.
Certainly the Olympic Games next summer will offer opportunities !
I can share with you that I already swapped with someone from South Africa whose wife was coming to Paris for a visit. We met in the lobby of her hotel and swapped around 200 coins + some extras : he gave me a few kilos of very common coins from RSA but also Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and so on, in exchange for European coins. Thus I got a lot of African usual coins, that he had no real use of, valuable for me to swap further here in Europe.
