Panamese quarter balboa

I've got a nice-looking Panamese quarter balboa issued 1962.

The Numista catalogue topic doesn't mention any mintage number for that year (below the regular, only 25 proof coins are listed, which obviously doesn't apply to mine).

Is it very common? Anyone got an idea?

I found this in an eBay auction. Haven't found any more reliable sources yet though.
"An almost uncirculated 1962 Panama 1/4 (Cuarto, Quarter) Balboa. Please see picture for condition and grade the coin for yourself. Composed of 90.0% Silver, this coin contains 0.1808 troy oz. ASW and 4,000,000 were minted."
Thanks, with 4 million minted, this must be about the most common high silver grade quarter balboa around.
I guess an XF coin still makes it worth collecting.

Aye, most certainly. I think the Balboa series are among the nicest coins anywhere. I've not much interest in Panamanian coinage in general but I keep picking up these coins whenever possible. I wouldn't describe it as a collection yet, but I did get my first silver 1 Balboa recently in a bulk lot on eBay. It was sitting right in the corner of the picture, almost hidden so I was the only bidder.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.

Yeah I like the Panama Balboas too.  I picked up a nice 1/4 balboa from 1953 in a kilo lot recently in almost uncirculated condition, I was so stoked because I'd paid NZ$30 for the whole kilo and that coin alone was worth around NZ$10.
