It is possible, but I have seen one (not the same note) a few years ago listed on eBay for sale and the bids went up to $100+.
This note has a design of one series on the front, and on the back was printed with a note from another series. The note also had the usual coloured fibres security feature in the center too. The seller listed the note for $8+ bid and someone went all the way to $100+. I was one of the bidders. After the sale, the seller offered me a Buy it now option for $8+, and I rejected the offer.
I am not saying that yours is the same as the one I mentioned about, and if you cannot find them on the Internet, then one must be very careful, as there are plenty of great artists out there.
It might just be the picture, but the serial number does not look right – very poorly printed, relative to the blue note imaged on the numista listing.
perhaps to make it a fantasy or to fool some collectors, but this note does not exist in red, no official site mentions it, the link that I attached clearly speaks of fake!
It might just be a ‘reproduction’ rather than a fake for the purpose of defrauding anyone.
Yes, and perhaps a “good luck” note. I have one which is a fake US $100 note, and it's clearly not made to defraud anyone. As a matter of fact, I got it at a coin show from someone who had been to China and had brought back a thick pile of them.
In the present case, the red colour is probably meant to leave no doubt about the use of this note.
Anyway, the quality of the paper should tell right away whether or not it's real.
