Japanese yen, 8th year Meiji, 415 one yen 900

it looks identical to other Yen from this era, and the flip side is nothing interesting, what I’m wondering about is this “415”, all other yen that I can find pictures of have “416”.

this number is the weight of the coin which was normally 416 grains.

but somehow I have one that weighs 415 grains, a version of the coin that is not listed as existing on Numista.

The only other person I can find talking about a coin like this online is someone from china on Baidu, but I had no luck there in finding out if it’s rare or not.

Hello

Welcome aboard 😀

It might be a fantasy token Year 8 Meiji. The surface seems to have porosity, not even sure it's silver.

You should show a detailed picture (is it really written 900?) of both faces with detailed diameter and weight
