Xavier's fired me

It seems that Xavier has a vindictive side to his character. On the basis that we disagree over the future direction of the Numista catalogue, Xavier has terminated my position as one of the banknote referees. Luckily for the catalogue, I was only banknote referee for a few issuers, none of which have a significant volume of change requests. Nevertheless, it demonstrates that Xavier cannot recognize the importance of the members in creating the content for his website, nor that by opening this site up to collaboration, he implicitly gave up his right to dictate on all matters. I know some other referees are very upset by the way Xavier and his administrative team have been behaving and are considering their positions. However, as I have discovered, it isn't necessary to resign, one simply has to refuse to go along with Xavier's mistakes and you'll be removed.

Golden man.

The very fact that it hasn't been deleted yet says that it's not that bad. I looked at the post this morning and then came back - and the thread is intact.

I note that the personality of the boss is not disturbed- statement

And the rules, even if they can sometimes seem unfair or meaningless, are given by the owner.

I also don't like that I have to live in a successor unknown country-Yes, I can swear, cry - but that's what life is about, “being able to adapt to the rules”

The world and people are not only black and white, the whole world and all people are colorful and everyone is original.

Devote yourself to numismatics without stress and calmly, no one will spoil your passion - only you yourself are the architect of your happiness.

I've now seen Xavier's announcement of this matter (posted after I could no longer view the referee's forum, the only “right” I've actually been deprived of). I suspect I'm not alone in spotting the irony of someone who demands obedience to their rules whilst calling the process "collaboration". Perhaps I'm a hopeless optimist, but I still think that Numista has come too far to be allowed to go the way of Wikipedia, an unreliable guide dominated by a misguided clique.

Please don't think me bitter. Instead of working on Numista this evening, I've bought a half quart.

Me stupidly thought that would be a British beer 🍺 measure, so I was surprised to see a coin….. so no drowning of your numista induced sorrow?

That would only be one pint, not much to drown in!

It could have been a start, though🍻
