Sweden 5 Kronor 1988 - Error or damage

Hi,

Recently got this coin and it makes me curious - do you think it is deliberate damage, or minting error? If it is error, what must've happen to acomplish this? I just find it interesting.

Thanks

in my estimation it is post mint demage, some material is removed mechanically. A precise weight should support my idea, if it shows a deficit of 2-4%.

Yeah, def PMD

yes, but how and why? stuck in a machine? deliberate shop experiment?

and both sides..?

Thank you for your replies.

Again my problem is with the letters continuing onto the “removed” material

Also, my scales show exactly 9.5gr as it should be according to the listing: N#2752

the machined out material would not amount to .1g, so still within weight tolerance.
