My suggestion is that Numista adopt this and begin a collection as well. Build it like the mints and references providing a link as well. This list would be listed similar to the link above. I believe a small picture of the initials would be an added benefit.
I was thinking this may assist in determining who initials are on other items. The examples I provided are well known, but I believe it could help with less familiar artists that have their initials on other items throughout Numista.
Those privy marks should be added to the database of marks we have, and be selectable in “other marks” field if yearlines.
This way, we would build the catalogue you suggest
Fine but still the list JLHare is mentionning, if build the way you propse will still not be interactive as I will have to look mint by mint for the initial, so good luck with the list :
I think it could be interesting to duplicate theses others mark from the mint list to a new others mark listing to make it more interactive.

As soon as we have a database,Xavier can easily gather them in a page (and not only by mints), make them clickable, etc. The hard part is getting the Database
And also added to yearlines as “other mark” example N#92676
This is intended for mintmaster marks, privy marks, die letters, etc. We already agreed it should include mintmarks in the future (which is currently recorded in a different manner). Do you think we should also use it for the engraver initials?

We already have many engravers registered in this Database :-)

Why would we want to list the exact same designer/engraver initials on every year line? Why clutter up the year line list like that?

we could say the same about mintmarks or privy marks, right? I agree the best would be to have different feature regarding marks, depending on if they are consistently used or not on every yearlines of the same type

Not really. Mint marks can change in the same year with different mintages for each and privy marks change over years for the same type. The initials would be the same for every year, mint and privy mark.
Edit: If for the same year the mint mark is different, by definition a new year line is required. If the privy mark is different, that also requires a new year line. That's why listing the mint mark and privy mark on each year line makes sense. The same can't be said for the initials.
