 First picture is upside-down. Diameter would help.

Reverse: Brabant cross, letters of moneyer's name in the corners.

Lettering: B A S T

Yes, definitely Duchy of Brabant denier / penning.

 

The other possibility is this one:  N#304016

This type has letters HDV on the right of shield from top to bottom, and CIS on the left from bottom to top (for Henricus DVCIS)

 

The type mentioned by ZacUK has · V ·   on the right of the shield and · И · on the left.
