Hello.

Each canadian province has it own flag. Why not adding it to each one instead of a icon that change all the flags as it is nowadays?

The same occurs with Switzerland Cantons.

True each province and territories have their own flag but I don't understand where you want to add them on Numista ?!?

Hello. I want to add it here to each province.

The catalog shows a gif with all the flags in the group (upper yellow box). But it not show the flags in each province (low yellow box). Perhaps a bug.

Well I'm not sure you will find official flags as these Lower Canada, Upper Canada and United Province of Canada aren't really Provinces as we know them today and flags weren't official at the time those existed. Even the official flag of Canada dates back to only 1965.

Also “Modern” canadian provinces as we know them today have change over the years and flags might not be the same as they were during the years covered by the coins issued/listed. In almost, if not every case, the coins issued by the Provinces were issued before their official flag existed. You can add the new provincial flags if you want but it's not very accurate and it may even be historically wrong.

The Québec flag officially dates back to January 21, 1948

The Ontario flag officially dates back to April 14, 1965

The New-Brunswick flag officially dates back to February 24, 1965

The Nova Scotia flag officially dates back to January 19 1929

The PEI official flag dates back to Mars 24 1964

and the New-Foundland flag dates back to May 28, 1980

etc…

Some of the pre-Confederation colonies would have used a Blue or a Red Ensign with a distinguishing badge.

Newfoundlanders also fly their own Red Ensign, which was the Dominion of Newfoundland's flag.

Canada also had a Red Ensign, but this changed as more elements were added to the Dominion of Canada's Coat-of-Arms from time to time - most recently in around 1957.
