Hello,

Please can someone explain me how François Rude would have engrave this coin dated of 1909?

He passed away in 1855…

I always presumed that he engraved a dice that they used only afterwards. Or possibly, he should be a designer instead.

Precise answer is here: https://blog.cgb.fr/les-essais-en-aluminiumau-millesime-1909,11140.html

The engraver is Henri Dubois. Rude is just a wrong attribution made 60 years ago by Mazard, that many people just copy pasted.
