The propaganda goals can be achieved by putting them on money. It is hard to find, how it was discovered, but due to wide circulation of money and usage of it by all layers of population it is a very effective tool. Nevertheless the early examples are traced back to Roman Empire at least.

In modern times it is interesting to find how the propaganda goals are embedded on money.

Sometimes it is obvious: for example a coin from sales https://www.delcampe.net/en_GB/collectables/coins-banknotes/coins-italy-1946-republic/100-lire/user-of-radio-italy-100-liras-1974-low-startno-reserve-347136089.html

shows a person who got permission to use radio from an inventor, but the issue has intention to show that it is this person who invented it.  A funny example to put in mind instead of reality that what is desired.

But sometimes the propaganda is not so obvious.

The example  of just born Republic of Singapore can be found  on this banknote

The images are taken from the item on sale https://www.delcampe.net/en_GB/collectables/coins-banknotes/banknotes/singapore/o-orchid-singapore-1-dollar-1967-crisp-first-issue-low-start-9733-no-reserve-321072912.html

The backside is described officially as “Blocks of flats in a housing estate." The state propaganda is to promote the lifestyle in flats. It is not so convenient obviously, but it is the only option which the Government can propose to population due to lack of land under its rule. That is the reason why in the whole the very first series which got official name “Orchid” it is the lowest denomination, which has such purpose. The largest  banknote of the series has face value 10000 dollars and that is why is not in common use, thus it will not achieve to goal of spreading idea to live in flats.

Interesting fact about this particular banknote. It shows coat of arms of the territory, though the usage of coat of arms is regulated by local law which does not allow to use it outside the government Authorities.

It is actually a coin commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Marconi who was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer, known for his creation of a practical radio wave-based wireless telegraph system. This led to Marconi being credited as the (quote wiki) inventor of radio, and he shared the 1909 Nobel Prize in Physics with Karl Ferdinand Braun "in recognition of their contributions to the development of wireless telegraphy".

Yes, you are right, you follow the standard propaganda of Italy. For example Russians have completely different propaganda: they developed military top secret technology much time before Italians and used radio. As the result the USSR issued the beautiful design of a one rouble with reverse

Though both propaganda machines are very far away from the reality for obvious reason: neither Italians no Russians were the fist in inventing radio and no issue of coins will help them.  You gave excellent example of different propagandas used on coins.

Even more interesting is how the Italians claim Marconi as his own. He was in fact half Irish and spent most of his time working in the USA, UK and Ireland, not Italy. His mother was of Irish descent. This seems to be common with half Italian people always leaning on their Italian side. John Travolta despite being very Italian looking and having a real goombah name - has a mother with the maiden name Walsh (Not Italian at all), same with Madonna - half French Canadian, Cyndi Lauper - half German Swiss etc.  Only Laura Branigan leaned more on her Irish than Italian side in music.

Many Italians in America and other places married other Catholics who were usually Irish, German, French or Hispanic. Marconi was Irish as well.

This Irish stamp issue from 1995 commemorates Marconi as one of their own!

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Nowadays the countries created clubs by who invented radio: one of them is the Russian empire axis with a military State Councillor , one more around a vendor and one -  around the inventor of radio.

If we look at the first image of the post it is easy to notice one more state propaganda. This time it is the Obv. of the banknote, if the Rev. promoted the new lifestyle, the Obv. served one more purpose.. The series has official name given by the issuer Orchid Series. And the Papilionanda Janet Kanealii is depicted, being this hybrid registered in 1958, just 9 years before the issue on the banknote. in this way the state promoted the biodiversity and high level of orchid selections.

Here in Brazil, the Catholic priest Roberto Landell de Moura is often considered inventor or co-inventor of radio.

As far as I know, he never appeared on currency, but he did appear on stamps, like this unsettling example from 2011:

Dictators showing their face on a note is maybe a common occurrence, but the Indonesian 50,000 Rupiah commemorative in 1993 is more than that

N#232948

It shows how the country prospered under the 25 years rule of Soeharto (who was styled “Father of Indonesian Development” and the note celebrates “25 Years of Development”). While indeed some developments are made in various aspects, but behind the scenes there are a lot of corruption and cronyism which still hamper this country even after 25 years since his ousting as the president.

Regarding the issues when propaganda creates public opinion or at least serves to support unpopular decisions of Government. This was the first post in the topic, unfortunately the banknote from the first post is not available anymore, though there is a more rare type with less frequent signature in similar condition

(Images from https://t.me/s/enjoyyourcollection?q=Lot+6737). There could be many more given as for example https://t.me/s/enjoyyourcollection?q=Lot+3600 with concept of restriction on population growth: no more than two children in one family.

And yes each country shows its the best on coins and banknotes, that is why portraits of different rulers are available.
Returning to the point when propaganda covers the truth, the issues of radio inventors is indeed picturesque.  It seems that some more examples can be easily found.

Hello collectors across the whole world and different ideologies.

My kulak grandfather, whose property was confiscated by the communists and even today's democrats did not return it to us, lived in all regimes.

He was born and grew up in Austria-Hungary during the reign of Emperor Francis Joseph.

During the First Republic, he married and farmed as a private farmer -Pre-war Czechoslovakia 1918-1938

During WW2, we were a protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia

After a short post-war period, the communists took over the leadership of the country and did not let them go 1948-1989

After the Velvet Revolution, there was a brief parallel -abbreviated CSFR, was between 1990 and 1992

The Velvet Revolution and the division of the Republic into two separate states of "Czechs and Slovaks"

And my grandfather explained to me what he experienced.

I grew up under real socialism in communist Czechoslovakia in the 70s of the last century. So I've seen propaganda - I've experienced it - I've lived in it and I've also seen all the changes and I understand that propaganda accompanies us throughout our lives.

You all live in it, only some of you don't know about it or you don't even care.

Here I will present you a coin that accompanies me my whole life:

Why did I mention all this?  For reasons of understanding that those who live in different regimes see things as they change.

Czech lion on coins: since the 13th century, coins from the reign of Přemisla Otakar I.

since the year 1300 the lion has been on coins - free and unfetteredhttps://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pra%C5%BEsk%C3%BD_gro%C5%A1

Hieraldika:

https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Cesk%C3%BD_lev_(heraldika)

When Czechoslovakia was founded, a lion was put on the coin - free and unfettered:

the cage was not there https://en.numista.com/catalogue/tchecoslovaquie-1.html

The communists came and locked the lion in a cage and put a five-pointed star on the cage - the symbol of communism:

And this is what my grandfather told me, the communists closed our freedom for nothing -and even the lion was put behind bars in prison.

The Velvet Revolution and the Lion was released from the cage, In honor of "Václav Havel", a coin and medal were issued that recorded the release from the cage:

motto Truth and love must win over lies and hatred.

On one side, we see a funny representation of a lion in a cage with a five-pointed star above its head - that is, from 1948 to 1989. When we turn to the other side, the joke is that after 1989 we let the lion out of the cage and above its head St. Wenceslas crown is watching,"

A lion behind bars November 17 - the day of the Velvet Revolution

and here is already free liberation from oppression

Since the fall of communism, all coins are cage-free https://www.zlate-mince.cz/cro_1_kc.htm

And now the most interesting thing:

The Czechoslovak crown hides one great secret - an incredible story of what is possible within the framework of resistance against the regime.

N#2644

The coin depicts a girl planting the national tree of the Slavs, the linden ( the linden stands as a defiance against the German oak, and their coin also features a girl)

We paid this coin for 35 years - I remember it all my life until adulthood

The coin was created by an academic sculptor,, Marie Uchytilová,, and she also won a competition and the coin was issued.

The girl is the daughter of a sculptor friend from school and her name is: nineteen years old,,   Bedřiška Synková,,

Bedřiška led a scout troop as a young girl. Her activities contradicted the then regime. The communists then ordered the girl to stop her activities. Despite the ban, she continued and shortly after was sentenced to 10 years for treason and imprisoned. Bedřiščina's unhappy mother told the shocking story of her daughter at the art school where she worked. Another employee of the school, the sculptor Marie Uchytilová, also heard her story, who felt the same contempt for the regime at the time, and therefore plotted revenge. She entered the competition for the design of a new crown and, based on the photo of the convicted Bedřiška, created the image of a girl planting a linden tree.(Scouting was banned and its members were persecuted)

The anti-regime message of the Czechoslovak crown

Conclusion:,, Bedřiška,, ran away and emigrated in 1968 and lives in Switzerland, and our lion is free

I'm just briefly again, because we don't have anyone to invent radio here, but we're working on it, as our Prime Minister said, that we'll only invent everything if we give him a vote in the elections.🤣
