Hi everyone,
I just bought my first metal detector!
It is the Nokta Makro Simplex+, and it works very well. However, i only found trash.
Yesterday evening i became aware you need to search for the consistent and high conductivity ID's (80-99) if you want to find coins (and not trash). I tried it (notched out 01-75 and full sensitivity on field mode), got a few 77 signals that were not consistent at all, tried to dig one of them up, could not find it (i don't have a pinpointer).
My house is quite old, around 200 years if i remember correctly. Before that also numerous houses have stood on the place my house stands, so i don't think it is an issue of history or lack of “things in the ground”.
Does anyone have anymore tips on finding coins with a metal detector? What should i notch out?
Thanks in advance,
TheRegularCoiner
