Translation of REDEMCORI [solved]

We have a Normandy denier with the reverse legend “REDEMCORI”. Currently, this is translated to “Rouen” but this is clearly wrong as other coins have “ROTOMAGUS” or similar, which is the Latin name for Rouen. Google translate gives "to be redeemed" as the English translation but I wondered if there was a slightly better form than this?

To me it seems likely the legend is linked to the image of Calvary, and does not have any relation to a place name (Rouen). 

REDEMPTOR would translate as Redeemer (as you say), which would be my best guess.

The auction listing which is the source of the photo also says the reverse legend doesn't not correspond to what Duplessy claims as the reverse legend.
