I found 2 unique tokens in coin shops. https://imgur.com/a/6WhBKfr  and  https://imgur.com/a/H1BpsgQ

I have a precious metal verifier and confirmed they are the silver versions. thoughts?

The german medal exactly is 26mm in diameter, with a sticker that says TJ40. About 2.2mm in thickness due to a lack of a reverse image. Edge is smooth. Scans as 999. other types have emblems or designs or are gilt on base metal or just silver. I have emailed the haus. See the type here: N#270756 seems to be rare so perhaps this is a prototype?

As for the penny this is the silver version. It is 30.8mm in diameter, 2mm thick, 12.5g and scans as 925. i have emailed the company. According to the page about this type of token: N#59158

"Hern's Handbook on South African Tokens by Brian Hearn and Allyn Jacobs (Second Edition, August 2009) states on page 110:

“The Gold Reef City Mint was a branch of the South African Mint and produced these pieces as advertising momentoes. Although each had a denomination nothing could be purchased with these pieces as South Africa was on the Decimal System. Cased proof sets are available. (Various dates exist.) It is believed that in the early years a 'precious metals' set was produced.”

I'm quite excited, I haven't found much or any literature about it online. I've contacted the referee for this type but still waiting for a reply, in the meantime I thought I might share them here. Please share if you have any information.
