Mark Currency

Greetings,

Could you please add the Mark as a currency of US Pre Federal? This is because the Nova Constellatios were broken up by the currency of a Mark, 1000 Units. This is not to be confused with the German Mark. Thank you. Here is an article:

Which state used these coins?

These were not used in any specific state, but rather throughout the Pre-Federal United States.

More of a fantasy currency.

Very interesting article.

However, as rsirian1 points out, if the currency was never implemented, do we want to use it?

(Not to mention, the way I read the reference, wouldn't the currency be the “Unit?”

If the currency were the Mark, I would have expected the article to read “a Mark, a Quint equal to ½ Mark, a Cent equal to 1/10 Mark” and so on.  But instead, the article names all the coins as multiples of the Unit.)

Whatever the currency name, those coins were never legal tender anywhere.

Unless I am missing something, only 7 pattern coins are known to have been struck:  

Today, the 1,000 Units is unique, the 500 Units is known by two examples (of two different varieties), the 100 Units is known by two (possibly three) examples, the 5 Units is unique, and no 8 Units has ever been seen.

If they are just unissued patterns of unused currecy that never circulated anywhere, then their place is in exonumia.
