Thematic catalogue entry pages

Hello,

New thematic catalogue pages are available: euro coins, US coins, French coins, and ancient Greek coins (you'll find the link below the search form on the Coins page).

These pages serve as entry page of the catalogue for specific domains of collection. They are customized for each domain: collectors of US coins can browse the coins by denomination for example, while collectors of ancient Greek coins can browse by region and city.

I hope you will find them useful!

Nice, especially the ancient section.

For Euro coins there is an issue with the language of the series. I am using the English interface right now but instead of 10 Years of EMU (15) I see  10 ans de l'UEM (15) which of course is empty if I click on it.

Thank you, it's fixed.

I look forward to the United Kingdom having their entry. Or even the British empire!

These links are not working for me, could you please double check them

Update : some of the links are working, but not all

For link EU Flag (3) it's showing that there are 3 coins in the series, but search is returning > 20 coins right now

That looks amazing! 🤩
I'm looking forward for similar maps for other ancient empires, such as Rome (huge project, I know), Rus Principalities, Egypt, etc. 😇

 These two please:

France - jetons (not modern, more like Lauer and that era)

United Kingdom - Conder tokens [1787 to 1797]

 Thanks

I looked on euro coins page, this looks great. Two potential improvments are:

1. Is it possible to link also the full section to see at once all circulation euro or all 2€?

2. What about ecus from Gibraltar (double denomination 2.8 ecu = 2£ etc).

Thank you, that's implemented.
(Known limitation: due to the specific way Gibraltar ecu coins are listed, the link to all ECU & Pre 1999 Euros doesn't include the Gibraltar coins)

The euro is the single currency of the economic and monetary union formed within the European Union. Introduced in 2002, euro coins are issued by 20 member states of the European Union, which form the euro area, and four microstates (Monaco, San Marino, the Vatican and Andorra).

Kind regards and wishes for stress-free health and well-being.

Yes, I am very satisfied with search optimization, especially in the thematic group,,  ancient greece,,

I have heaps of these little known coins undiscovered and this will help me better search if we already have it or where to put it.

Each state can mint up to two commemorative €2 coins per year.

1) The joint coinages are not part of this and there are additional exceptions in place.

2) Before 2012, it was just one.

I saw a bug (or error in translation) in the end of the introduction https://en.numista.com/catalogue/themes/french-coins.php (en/fr/es):

Finally, the Euro replaced the Franc on 1 July January 2002.

Just wonderful! 👍 Elegant design and informative presentation.

I guess the creation and maintenance of such pages requires a fair amount of work.

ūūūūū

I ,saw different line spacing between the paragraphs in the introduction of sections:

Perhaps can be write all with one blank line between paragraphs (br br)?

  • Add one more new line in euros
  • Add two new lines in United States

---------------

In Greek coins https://en.numista.com/catalogue/themes/greek-coins.php the text below the map has not translation to French/Spanish):

  • Map background by the %s

---------------

In US coins https://en.numista.com/catalogue/themes/us-coins.php in the Spanish translation of title of section for half dimes, dimes, quarters and half dollars I added the equivalent in cents. Perhaps in French can be useful too.

@davidhs, can you please edit the text for euro coins in Spanish about the limit of two commemorative coins per state?

I noticed today under United States the Jefferson Wartime Nickels are not on the list of Jefferson Nickels.
