Silver token USSR USA Deutschland - 1990

Hello,

I need help wit identification and valuation of this silver token, its from 1990, it weighs 30 g, diameter 40 mm, composition 999 silver.

On the side of token there is serial number 0240.

Token have russian, german, and usa presidents on front, and buildings representing those countries on back.

The “spot price” for silver would suggest your token is worth ~£18 (~$23 USD) in scrap metal.

The token most likely has something to do with German re-unification - the language is certainly German - I translate it as “For world peace, freedom, and human rights”, though I admit my German is a little rusty so might not be the best translation. As that was the only language on it, that suggests it's a German token (As a USA issued token would probably be written in English, Russian in Russian).

A quick hunt around the usual internet haunts doesn't seem to throw your coin out, and it's not registered in Numista's catalogue either (though for exonumia, that's not particularly unusual). As such, I would tentatively suggest that the token isn't especially well sort after, so probably doesn't command a price much above the scrap value. For most tokens of this kind with a similar theme, they seem to be selling at around £20-£25. So, if you're thinking of selling it I'd probably start an auction off around that price - if it's more valuable, then collector's will run up the value. If it's that value, well, you're getting what it's worth.

I hope that gives you at least a starting point to work from. I don't think I can give you much more information than that.
