I would very much welcome all to look at their collections and take pictures of the coin they would like to take part with.

There has been very little entries (some categories have received none so far). I will start the competition on September 11th. 

Dont you want to push it back a month if there have been so few so far?

We should advertise it also on the Free Forum channel

I have completely forgotten about this. Maybe you used try to advertise it more in the forum so people learn it's in action.

I think also the other Forums French and Spanish need to be informed.

If anyone else can host this in place of Stan, the entries can be resubmitted to them. Or a discord group can be created to ease communication.

This is just my opinion since Stan is MIA and we're at the end of the year.

Well its now 2024 so I think either it must be cancelled or someone has to quickly step up and finish it.

I posted a comment last month asking everyone if someone can try and host this contest but nobody replied. I would love to take the load on me and host it but my work life is not balanced right now so i couldnt host it.

That's why i said we should prepare for next year.

What does it matter now? Why not just have a discussion about what people nominated instead of sitting around complaining about how the contest didn't happen? Clearly no point coming back to this thread anymore. See you next year.

I realise it is late in the year however I intend to set up a new competition however I want to make sure there's still enough people interested in taking part. 

I'm setting up a discord server for it and I'm willing to do the most of the work I just ask that people be respectful towards one another. If I find that people cannot discuss in a respectful and positive way both parties will be given only 1 warning and if it continues they will be removed permanently whether you are "right or wrong".  Yes it's a Competition, yes we are all of different veiws and backgrounds but we must respect that and push aside our differences so that our interest for and enjoyment of numismatics is what is shared. 

I am considering a prize, my suggestion is that the winner gets to choose a charity to which I (and hopefully others) will donate to. 

If it's of interest please let me know. I was thinking at least 10 of us, let me know if I'm being too hopeful.
