I wouldn't normally look at variations in Belgian coins, simply because they are so variable in quality. But, i have just found a fairly significant difference in the position of the date on the 1996 1 Frank coin, which shows as a larger gap above the date. I'm not sure exactly where the difference occurs, but rudimentary measurement of the full length of all the text on the obverse is 15mm on the first coin, the most common type, and 14.5mm on the second of the two coins below.
Anyone else found one of these?
