I have a 1964 ½ Lira coin that appears to have been minted in the Bern Mint, which doesn't seem to be listed in the catalogue.  Should this be added?

Please give the numista reference and why you think the Bern mint was involved?

Israel ½ Lira 1964 - N#1031

Paternation and detail of my 1964 coin matches that of coins produced in earlier years by the Bern Mint (as below), but is not listed.

My coin from 1964 is exactly like yours, but I doubt, we can conclude, that they were minted in Bern.

Maybe then, the reference to the Bern Mint on this page needs to be adjusted in somevway. Otherwise, other contributors may make the same assumption.  Happy to help.

What is needed, is a catalog of Israeli coins, and check if it contains these distinctions?

shekelinfo.com doesn't list Bern for 5724. The site only lists Bern for a small portion of 5723 and most of the coins from 5733.

SHEQEL - The Online Catalog of Israel Numismatics 1927 - present

The site is based on a previous reference printed in 1988 ("Israel's Money and Medals") and other sources. Neither is listed as a Numisa reference as they mostly follow Krause.

Catalog numbers will generally correspond with the KM-numbering of Krause Publication's Standard Catalog of World Coins (British Mandatory Palestine & Israel) and the P-numbering of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money. However, when deemed necessary by us, suffixes are added to better identify varieties of the same coin or banknote. In some cases - such as Official Mint and Hanukka Sets - the SHEQEL catalog deviates from the KM-MS numbering system due to the many errors and omissions in the Standard Catalog of World Coins. In the State & Official Medals chapter, as well as the chapter dealing with tokems etc., we created our proprietary chronological catalog numbering system, also using the IGCMC/ICMC catalog numbers for cross reference purposes.

Thanks bjherbison, I'll take a look at 5733 now.

I've changed the documentation accordingly, and I will now make the CR.
