I would have probably been fooled.

Just for my understanding - which bit gave it away?

Was it uncentered India between East & Company?

BluHawk

… which bit gave it away?

The edge beading is irregular and off-centre.

The made-yesterday shininess, on a 183-year-old coin.

And so on …

Hi. I took a closer look at the coin, and its something wrong with the first picture.

Here some new fhotos, and I think its a genuincoin. The weight is perfect

What about these, are these genuine?

I don't believe your coin is genuine as the the words “VICTORIA” and “QUEEN” are positioned on different areas of the obverse.

Additionally, on the reverse, the font is thicker than a regular 1840 young head.

As to the type, this is a fake Victoria Young Head.

Have a look.

This one is confirmed genuine:

and this one is yours:

Most likely a clever forgery of one of the later rupees, such as the 1849 young head.

Thanks for letting me know. Much easier to see when you added the photos.

I can send this «coin» to you if yoy collect forgeries.

thanks, but I don't trade on Numista.

You based your conclusion by comparing it to the wrong coin.  You need to compare it to the correct one where the words “VICTORIA” and “QUEEN” are positioned on the same areas of the obverse:  N#24095
