Can anyone confirm this is a broken 8 on a 1928 threepence?

I have looked for similar errors, but can only find on pennies.

Doesn't look pmd, but I'm not an expert in these matters.

On this special Australian web site, that variety is not mentioned, so I suppose it's a PMD!

I understand you're a spambot that just copies and pastes this same thing over and over, but none of that information is at all relevant to his question.

“is it an error coin or just pmd”, I think, is exactly the question asked.

The next poster - after the obligatory how to ask numista a question pasta,

offered a well considered opinion on that question, and provided specifically relevant support for his position.

It is hard for me to pass over
none of that information is at all relevant to his question.
which is false, and does you no credit, even  while I am as weary as you are of the 100 a day repeated pasta.

Nice to know your opinion, thanks. In many cases (most) it makes the people demanding read the policy, send proper images etc.

You suggest, I stop trying to “educate” newcomers? Who will do it then?

So I have been informed that Renniks has it listed as an error and considered scarce.

I said I was informed- on another forum. Apparently it is contained in Renniks Australia  Pre Decimal Varieties book. I don't have that book.

I didn't realise I would have to justify, I was simply informing those who may be wondering about this post.

To make changes to numista you have to be able to proove the truth of the change request.

I don't see enough Australian coins to justify the investment for me, but you as an Australian?

I didn't realise I requested a change, I was just after info on the coin, and posted what I had been advised.

And I think the book is this one: https://renniks.com/shop/renniks-australian-pre-decimal-coin-varieties-3rd-ed-the-leading-guide-for-australian-variety-collectors/

At least I hope so as that is the one I have ordered 🙂

Sorry, you didn't actually demand a change of the coin file N#4203. I dreamt that one up.

It certainly is contained in the aforementioned book. Listed as ‘scarce (R5)’
