I have sometimes tought it would be nice to know which line/year/type of a coin or note I'm looking at, in regards to the picture in the top of the catalog pages, comparing it with the one I have in my hands.

I saw in Siegs catalog of the Nordic countries and colonies, they use an *, an astrict, to “link” the picture to the Siegs-type. When there is more than one type and they are similar, but only one picture, an * is used beside the Siegs number, to signal that's the one pictured above.

I tought Nunista could do something similar?

Have a little box you can check of in the bottom of the modification page, besides the individual year lines, saying something like “Line is the pictured”.

Of course I don't know how feasible it will be to implement and for the referees to check this… Or if it will just be an extra burden on the referees.

I think this possibility, should only appear when there are more than one year-line in use.

What does people think of that idea? I think it could be nice at least :)

I know it will peobably not be the top priority regardsless, but airing my idea while I remember it :D

Hello,

Indeed, it sometimes happens that we get lost in the many lines of dates and the various variants. Having a small mark to indicate which coin is depicted on the main pictures seems to be a good idea. However, in my opinion, the ideal would be to allow to add images for each line as it was evoked here : https://en.numista.com/forum/topic116562.html#p955201

Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno

Oh, poor Swtzerland referee, over 120 years of more or less the same design 😅😂

But that could be nice too of course, but I'm  thinking this for a start maybe? I mean, some pages this will make more sense, other will individual types make more sense🤔
