There seems to be a discrepancy between what the catalog has listed as a KM#167 and what NGC has identified as a KM# 167.

Most notable on the obverse are the stars on either side of the date.

The reverse has several major differences the first being the use of a roman numeral I instead of an arabic 1.

The second difference is the T in KREUZER. NGC's images show KREU=/ZER.

While I could see the T being a possible variant, the roman numeral and the stars seem to be major differences.

I have attached images of the coin I have that I believe to be a KM#167

If I am looking at this the wrong way please let me know

KM# 166 (which looks to be a combination of KM# 166.1 and 166.2 even though KM# 166.2 has its own page) seems to have same problems.

KM# 166

KM# 166.2

AKS and Schön (Kahnt/Schön Weltmünzkatalog / 19. Jahrhundert) have four 1 Kreuzer coins in that time frame:

  • 1813 and 1814 with no symbol by the date.
  • 1814-1817 with a small star by the date. (AKS mentions several variants without details.)
  • 1817 with a large star by the date.
  • 1820 large star under Ludwig.

There's no good way to match that fully with Krause.
