A slight change to the information listed under 1 Penny Lauer Miniature is required, below:.

Very small "coins” with the portrait of William IV, Victoria, and Edward II were made by private mints, most of them in Germany.

Change:  Edward II to Edward VII

I have an example of this miniature coin which I will post later as an comment from my tablet

Lauer miniature (undated) of King Edward VII Penny next to original

As you can see, the detail is extraordinary !!!

Closer images - maybe to add to the catalogue

Also, see small lines above the i of BRITT.  Looks like iLi (in caps) and may be either a mint mark or an engraver initials.

If required, I will try to take better photos, but this is a very small coin

For now they are all listed on one page: N#41047

I collect these miniatures (so would be happy to swap) and if I even find time, I'll clean up these UK pages and make separate listing. Your pictures is good enough, taking into account the size of the thing ;-)

BTW: yours is the half penny, not one penny

Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Apologies - Half Penny.  Also the incorrect info is on N# 41169
